SSAT / SAT / ACT Preparation

SSAT Preparation:

The SSAT is the required admission test at many independent schools. The SSAT is designed for students in grades 3 through 11 and is administered on three levels (Elementary, Middle, and Upper). The purpose of the SSAT is to measure a student’s basic verbal, reading, and quantitative skills.

Education Edge provides test preparation in each of those areas (verbal, reading, and quantitative). Test-taking strategies and practice tests are also included. The length SSAT preparation course is approximately 15 hours.

SAT Preparation:

The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The SAT is offered nationally every year in October, November, December, January, March, May and June. The test includes three components: Math, Critical Reading, and Writing.

Education Edge provides test preparation in all three components (Math, Critical Reading, and Writing). Test-taking strategies and practice tests are also included. The length of the SAT preparation course is approximately 15 hours.

ACT Preparation:

The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The ACT is offered nationally every year in September, October, December, February*, April and June. The test includes the following components: English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing. The ACT provides more of a big picture for college admissions whereas the SAT provides college admissions with scores on each section of the test. The length of the SAT preparation course is approximately 15 hours.
